The good news is that we wont have to wait until Chicago Meds eighth season begins on September 21 to learn whether Dr. Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) and Dr. Dylan Scott (Guy Lockard) survived the fire from the season seven finale last spring.
The images in How Do You Begin to Count the Losses provide the solution. It appears that we should be concerned about another doctor, Dr. Hannah Asher, even if Will and Dylan are both depicted in scrubs at the hospital, prepared to return to work (Jessy Schram). We see her as a patient as Will and Dr. Ethan Choi (Brian Tee) assist her into an examination room.
Chicago Med Season 8 Cast
In the previous few seasons, Med has had to contend with a lot of turnovers. Torrey DeVittos Natalie Manning and Yaya DaCostas April Sexton had to leave, and then Dr. Stevie Hammer (Kristen Hager), who had been hired to fill the void but had to leave due to pregnancy, had to be said goodbye by the audience.

Fortunately, Sasha Roiz and Lilah Richcreek will be two more cast members joining the Med team in season 8. Both actors will portray the roles of Jack Egan and Nellie Cuevas, respectively.

Chicago Meds next season will premiere on Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 8 PM EST, according to NBC! One Chicago Wednesday will once again begin with the season 8 debut before moving on to the separate premieres of Chicago Fire and Chicago PD.

Chicago Med Season 8 Plot
Chicago Meds seventh season was exhilarating, to say the least, and it appears that season eight will be just as exhilarating thanks to its flaming climax (forgive the pun).
As a result of a crooked cop blowing her cover during her undercover investigation, Jo has plans to leave town in the season finale. Dylan Scott goes to bid her farewell and we find out shes been hiding out in Will Halsteads apartment. Prior to Will interrupting the two and announcing the building is on fire, Jo hands Dylan the proof she has gathered so he can give it to his father.

An unexpected change of circumstances causes one of the culprits from Jos case to appear, which leads to a struggle between him and Dylan before Dylan shoots him.
