An Artist Named Mr. Doodle Has Scribbled Black-And-White Doodles All Over His Home!

Its hard to imagine seeing something like that anywhere, much less in the English countryside. A mansion, however, is tucked among rural residences with manicured lawns and is fully covered in cartoon-like doodling.

No expense is spared. Everything outside and inside the house is covered in black-and-white squiggles, a riot of figures inspired by video games and comic books. The couch, range, refrigerator, television, and even the parked car have all been painted.

Sam Cox, a 28-year-old artist known as Mr. Doodle.

Cox told the media during a Wednesday tour of his mansion that after drawing all over his bedroom at his parents home when he was 15 years old, he realized he wanted to live in a completely doodled environment.

Therefore, my aim was to have a doodle house and draw all over it, he said, adding that he financed his current home through the sales of his increasingly popular doodle art.

Cox, whose soft-spoken manner belies his wild red hair and custom black-and-white suit covered in doodles, of course has previously stated that as a student he once exchanged his artwork for food.

His career took off in 2017 after viral videos of him doodling with thick black paint in a seemingly endless stream of consciousness garnered him 2.7 million Instagram Followers.

Today, his works fetch tens of thousands of dollars and are included in promotional partnerships with major brands like Puma, Fendi, and Samsung. When he works in public, crowds rapidly form.

Cox stated that his humorous paintings were frequently likened to those of the late American artist Keith Haring, whom he referred to as an incredible, brilliant artist.

He stated that numerous other street and graffiti artists as well as the cartoons and video games he loved as a child had impacted him along the road.

None of it is ever sketched or anything like that because I believe that adding a sketch or penciling something out disrupts the spontaneous flow of a doodle, he explained.

Cox, who typically exhibits his work in time-lapse recordings on walls and canvases, refers to his scribbles as a virus.

When I was young, perhaps around the age of 16, I realized that doodling had taken over my life. I began to draw on the furnishings of my parents and everything else around me. I wanted my doodles to dominate the world, he stated. Therefore, I became infatuated with it in the best conceivable way. Since then, its been more like a happy obsession.

In 2020, however, Cox reported that he was hospitalized for six weeks due to stress caused by the administrative aspects of his job.

Cox posted on his Facebook Page shortly thereafter, I went through a wave of hallucinations and delusions, from believing I was speaking to God to getting recruited to scribble all over Donald Trumps wall.

He has since recovered and is now supported by his 32-year-old artist wife of Ukrainian descent, Alena who is also known as Mrs Doodle. The couple wed last year.

Alena adds color to Coxs formerly black-and-white creations when they cooperate on some projects.

Mrs. Doodle enjoys coloring in my drawings, so we occasionally collaborate on canvases or large works of art, Cox explained.

In the future, we may do undertakings of this scale, he remarked, indicating toward the home. We may work together to create a bright work of art, or something fresh or distinctive, so keep an eye on this space.
