Getting married is quite crazy. Its a big hoax about us, Bono stated. Theres also something motivating about knowing youre up against the odds. But if you were to ask me honestly, Id argue that occasionally friendship may even outlast passionate love. And that is what Ali and I share: friendship. Its certainly something extraordinary when you can have both romantic love and friendship.

Bono continued, But I dont want to give you the notion that it was all simple for us. But if either of us ever got lost, the other would be there to bring them back.

I am very appreciative. And for me, 40 is a significant number. For Ali, thats a significant amount. And it was wonderful when we decided to stop when we reached the age of 40.
