According to recent rumors, Shuri will be the next Marvel crossover skin in Fortnite.
Marvel has partnered with Fortnite the most over the last few years, even though there are many different properties it has partnered with. In addition to the entire season dedicated to the comic and movie giant, skins for characters like Spider-Man have also been released periodically.
Many Marvel characters have appeared in Fortnite, however, there are some notable characters who have not, even if other characters tied to them have. Shuri, King T’Challa’s sister and one of the most intelligent characters in both the Marvel comics and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is a good illustration of this.

While Black Panther has his own skin, Shuri was left out and does not appear likely to have one until Black Panther 2. This does not appear to be the case for much longer, since the cover of a recently published Fortnite and Marvel crossover comic features Shuri, hinting that she will be introduced to Fortnite in the near future.
Fortnite has also been linked to comic books, with DC releasing two crossover comics that featured Batman locked in a fatal game of Fortnite. These Fortnite/Batman crossover comics introduced additional DC characters to Fortnite, including the feared Batman Who Laughs and Snake Eyes, a longstanding GI Joe member. Snake Eyes also appeared in the Fortnite comics. With this latest Fortnite-Marvel tie-in, Marvel appears to be hinting at the possibility of a new playable skin for the game.
Fortnite and Marvel appear to have no intention of removing her face off the cover of the comic, which will be released in June, even if she appears as a bonus item for those who buy a copy. Epic has announced that individuals who purchase the comic will receive some exclusive cosmetics, so it’s safe to assume that Shuri, as seen on the cover, will be one of them.
Shuri has grown in popularity over the last several years, and her appearance on the cover of the next Fortnite X Marvel: Zero War comic suggests that she may be heading to Fortnite soon. This is all fan conjecture at the moment, but Epic will almost certainly confirm whether or not Shuri’s possible Fortnite character skin will be available in conjunction with the release of Fortnite X Marvel: Zero War later this year.
