The Crown Season 5 Plot
The fifth season of The Crown is set to start in the early 1990s. The Queen called 1992 her “annus horribilis” because of the breakup of three of her children’s marriages, Diana and Charles, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, and Princess Anne and Mark Phillips. There was also a fire at Windsor Castle. As the decade went on, public opinion about the royal family was especially bad. This was especially true after the tragic death of Princess Diana in 1997.
The Telegraph says Prince William has talked about the show’s alleged plan to show Princess Diana’s 1995 interview with journalist Martin Bashir in private. People who know him say he doesn’t want the interview to be shown again. A source told the magazine that the Crown may go against his wishes.
The Crown Season 5 Cast
We learned on August 2 that the new cast had started filming for the fifth season of The Crown. Imelda Staunton, who plays the Queen, was seen in the process of filming. In this movie, Lesley Manville will play Princess Margaret, and Jonathan Pryce will play Prince Philip. Pryce was nominated for an Oscar for The Two Popes, which was about two Popes.
