Shetland Season 7 Synopsis
Season 6 concluded with a big cliffhanger and several narrative development options for the upcoming season. DI Jimmy Perez and Duncan Hunter were arrested before the conclusion of the season on suspicion of involvement in Donna Killick’s killing. In the fourth season, the primary opponent was an older, cold-blooded serial murderer named Killick.
Jimmy’s stepdaughter’s biological father is Duncan, who raised her following her mother’s death. While co-parenting their daughter, both fathers held opposing opinions, yet to everyone’s amazement, they finally connected. Due of this link, Duncan admitted to Jimmy that he assisted Killick in her suicide when she asked his assistance.

However, they were unaware that she had already sent a letter to her attorney implicating both men in her death. Duncan surrendered in order to rescue Jimmy from the entire tangled scenario. On the basis of Killick’s letter, Jimmy was also detained.
