For the uninitiated, Emily in Paris is a comedy-drama series based on the lives of Emily, an American who travels to France to give Savoir, a French marketing business, an American touch. She discovers a whole new world in France and fights to thrive in a competitive atmosphere, all while coping with romantic issues and cultural clashes with her upbringing in the United States.
The series’ first season premiered on October 2, 2020, to positive reviews and ratings from critics. The show has been renewed for a second season, which will broadcast on December 22, 2021. In January 2022, it was renewed for a third and fourth season, and fans are anxious to see Emily and her unusual way of life on film once more.
Is Emily in Paris Season 3 Confirmed?
Sadly, the sitcom will not be renewed for a third season in May. The series isn’t on Netflix’s list of upcoming movies and programmes for the month. Emily in Paris Season 3 will, however, be released very soon.
Netflix revived the series on January 10, 2022.

The stars and cast members of the show have also spoken about the next season and their involvement in it.

“Once we have season 3, I’ll start thinking [about ideas],” show creator Darren Star told People on December 23. It implies that there may be more seasons to come!
Emily in Paris Season 3 Release Date
Netflix has yet to announce a release date, but we do have some exciting news for you!
The third season of Emily in Paris will begin filming this summer. Darren Star and some of the members of the show provided some pretty interesting insights regarding the third season on April 10 at Paleyfest. Star has confirmed that production will begin in June 2022, according to Variety. Season 3 could wind up in August if the second season’s production timetable is followed, as the second season began in May 2021 and ended in July 2021. So, assuming everything goes according to plan, we should have a release date by the end of the year or early in 2023.
Emily in Paris Season 3 Plot
Season 2 ended on a tense cliffhanger, with Emily’s personal and professional lives becoming increasingly difficult. Finally, Emily musters the strength to reveal her emotions for Gabriel, but it’s too late because Gabriel and his fiancée have moved in together.
“She does have extremely deep feelings for Gabriel,” show creator Darren Star remarked in an interview with TVLine. “That’s a dilemma she’ll have to answer: how can she reconcile her relationship troubles with her career issues, both of which are in jeopardy at the end of season two.”
We’re not sure if Emily will end up with Gabriel, the chef, or Alfie, the banker, but one thing is certain: this love triangle will keep us fascinated.
When it comes to Emily’s work life, will she accept Sylvie’s job offer and stay in Paris, or will she return to her old boss, Madeline? This is a big topic that Emily in Paris Season 3 will solve.
“I have a really strong concept [of what Emily picks], and I think the problem is, there’s no proper choice,” Darren Star told ELLE.
“There is no option that will make things better and satisfy everyone.” And I believe Emily is also a bit of a people-pleaser, and she’ll make a decision that may upset some people. And that’s something she’ll have to deal with again next season.”
Emily in Paris Season 3 Cast
The main cast, including her bestie Mindy (Ashley Park), Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu), Julien (Samuel Arnold), Luc (Bruno Gouery), Camille (Camille Razat), and Gabriel, are expected to return for the next seasons (Lucas Bravo).
Lucien Laviscount’s return for the upcoming season has also been confirmed. According to Variety, the actor plays Emily’s love interest Alfie, and the news was revealed by the show’s creator, Darren Star, during the show’s PaleyFest panel. Does this imply that Emily and Alfie will relocate to London? So, we’ll just have to wait and see.
