- Paul Adelstein will reprise his role as Steve, a recurrent character on the series. Luke’s prominent father, who wields considerable power in town.
Cruel Summer Season 2 Plot
According to Wikipedia, the series is set in the imaginary town of Skylin, Texas, and follows the same day for three years: 1993, 1994, and 1995.
The tale centres on two young girls: Kate Wallis, an adored popular girl who mysteriously vanishes one day at the hands of new vice-principal Martin Harris. Jeanette Turner is an uncomfortable outsider who appears to take over Kate’s life following her disappearance.
After being discovered alive a year later, Kate accuses Jeanette of seeing her kidnapping but failing to report it, resulting in Jeanette becoming America’s most disliked person. As the genuine tale develops, everyone scrambles to take sides via several lawsuits and destroyed families, friendships, and relationships.
The episodes alternate between the perspectives of Jeanette and Kate. Certain episodes begin with disclaimers warning viewers of issues such as child grooming and domestic abuse.
