Blonde Movie Release Date

Netflix announced in August 2016 that it will release the film. Blonde was approached by Thierry Frémaux to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in June 2021, but Netflix rejected since it could only be screened out of competition.

In a 2022 interview, Dominik stated that the film would retain its NC-17 rating and that he hoped it would premiere at the Cannes Film Festival that year, while also complimenting de Armas’ performance.

Despite the fact that the film was not selected for the Cannes Film Festival in 2022, Dominik expressed hope that it would be selected for the Venice Film Festival in 2022. Blonde will be released on Netflix sometime after September 10th, 2022, as the picture premiered this year at the 79th Venice Film Festival.

Blonde Movie Plot

Because it is a dramatized biography, it will not be an accurate depiction of Monroe’s life. Instead, it’s a made-up narrative about her sudden rise to stardom, interactions with various Hollywood celebrities, and her much-discussed affair with John F. Kennedy.

There’s also the belief that the Kennedy brothers (Robert and John) were involved in Marilyn Monroe’s assassination. The novel, on the other hand, will be entirely focused on her connection with John, the president at the time.

When Is The Trailer of Blonde Movie Coming Out?

Despite the fact that production began in 2019, no trailer has been released. Netflix, on the other hand, is accustomed to such situations. They generally release trailers near the release date, and given that this may be nominated for an Academy Award in 2023, it’s obvious why Netflix is keeping everything under wraps.

The Cannes Picture Festival has indicated interest in a premiere showing of the film. As a result, we may anticipate the film premiering in film festivals first, followed by a broader distribution.
