It’s simple to see why Sebastian Stan has so many fans. The actor, who is best known for his role as Bucky Barnes in the Avengers flicks, has wowed audiences with his wit and charisma. But if there’s one thing the actor has in common with his character, it’s that he prefers to keep his sexual relationships private.
So, who is Sebastian’s new love interest? Continue reading to learn more about his current romantic relationship.
In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, actor Sebastian Stan does not have an on-screen romantic relationship. But it doesn’t rule out the possibility that he has one in real life. The actor expressed his love for his partner, Alejandra Onieva, on social media in June 2021. So, what is the difference between their ages?

Stan began performing professionally in the early 2000s. He performed in films such as The Covenant, Hot Tub Time Machine, and the Oscar-winning Black Swan after graduating from college, where he studied theater. He also appeared in popular TV shows such as Gossip Girl and Once Upon a Time in recurring roles.
Stan’s most well-known roles, however, are all inside the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In 2011’s Captain America: The First Avenger, he debuted as Bucky Barnes, a role he’s repeated multiple times since. Stan also co-starred in the Disney+ Marvel series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier with Anthony Mackie.
In the year 2020, he began dating Alejandra Onieva
Stan, like many other superstars of his caliber, has attracted media interest to his personal life. However, there isn’t a whole lot to say. Aside from brief romances with co-stars Dianna Agron, Leighton Meester, and Jennifer Morrison, the 38-year-personal old’s life has been relatively discreet.
Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic in 2020, most celebrities got away with keeping their sexual connections a secret. As a result, no one knew who was dating whom due to the lack of public appearances. When Stan stepped out with Onieva in mid-2020, though, it was evident that this was a serious situation.
For her birthday, Stan made a special video
Stan has been quite busy over the last year, filming and conducting press for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. And, while he’s given interviews about his job, he’s kept his personal life private. That is, until Onieva’s 29th birthday on June 1, 2021, when he sent her a video.
Stan wished Ale Onieva a happy birthday on Instagram. “You were the light over a year ago, out of a lot of darkness,” he continued, adding, “I’m really grateful.” Stan spends a day with his phone in the video, which displays an image of Onieva. Probably because they had to spend so much of the year apart, the joke was born.
What is Onieva’s claim to fame?

Despite their nearly 10-year age gap (Stan will turn 39 in August 2021), Onieva and Stan share some interests. Stan was born in Romania and Austria before relocating to New York when he was a child, while Onieva was born and raised in Madrid, Spain.
Onieva is also a professional actor. She rose to prominence after starring in the telenovela El secreto de Puente Viejo. In the years since, she has continued to act on television. Onieva appeared in Netflix’s mystery drama Alta Mar (High Seas), which aired from 2016 until 2020. She began filming the film Historias para No Contap in 2021. (Stories Not to Be Told).
Early years of Sebastian Stan
Stan was born in the Romanian city of Constanța. When he was two years old, his parents divorced. Following the Romanian Revolution, Stan and his mother went to Vienna, Austria, where she worked as a pianist, when he was eight years old.
After his mother married the headmaster of a school in the United States, they moved to Rockland County, New York, four years later. He grew up in a Romanian Orthodox family.
Stan appeared in a number of shows at the Rockland school, including Harvey, Cyrano de Bergerac, Little Shop of Horrors, Over Here!, and West Side Story. He also spent his summers at Stagedoor Manor, where he was cast in a number of camp productions. He then decided to pursue acting professionally and began applying to acting programs at different universities.
He attended Rutgers University’s Mason Gross School of the Arts, which allowed him to study acting at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London, England, for a year. In 2005, he received his bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University. Stan became a citizen of the United States in 2002.
