Since 2016, Rochelle Aytes has been married to fellow actor C.J. Lindsey. The couple stated on an episode of Black Love Doc that they first met in 1998 while attending the same college in New York, but reconnected in Los Angeles several years later. In addition to having many shared connections, C.J. worked as a bartender at the club that Rochelles ex-boyfriend frequented!

In October 2022, when Rochelle (in character as Nichelle) shared a photo of herself with a baby belly, followers took a double take. In a subsequent post, she stressed that just her character is pregnant.
A few individuals have congratulated me on my pregnancy I believe I made a mistake in my [previous] post. That was rather deceptive. She said, I, Rochelle, am not pregnant; only Nichelle is pregnant. The actress then acknowledged: I appreciate the fact that so many people are happy for me and praising me. But, this is merely for show.
Nichelle on S.W.A.T. is Expecting a Baby
Indeed, Rochelles character on SWAT is pregnant! She and Hondo traveled to Thailand for a babymoon, or honeymoon before the birth of their child. The trio, along with Hondos old military buddy Joe (Sean Maguire), traveled to Chiang Mai for a vacation. When the majority of the S.W.A.T. crew was involved in a drug trafficking dispute, Nichelle stayed untouched!
Hondo initially learned that Nichelle was pregnant during the season five finale when his father discovered a pregnancy test while helping Nichelle move boxes. He immediately informed Hondo of the situation, and the news of his growing family prevented Hondo from deciding to risk his life on a mission.
Perhaps, future episodes of S.W.A.T. will feature Nichelles pregnancy and Hondos less stressful fatherhood! Fans will have to continue watching till then.
