Dave Marciano Illness: The Northside neighborhood of Newark is where Marciano was born and nurtured. When Marciano got to Newark, he discovered a chaotic city that had been decimated by a wave of violent crime. His difficult upbringing is no secret. The internet is full of rumors that Dave is ill. But as of right now, it appears to be nothing more than a hoax since this hasnt been officially confirmed. Dave is on social media frequently and appears to be in good health.

He has been retweeting and responding to tweets from followers. His official Twitter account, which uses the handle Capt. Dave Marciano is where people can view them. He tweets frequently about his show. More than 29,000 people follow his verified Twitter account. In one of the tweets, he expressed gratitude to a supporter who had expressed her support for him.

Career

In order to fund his schooling, Marciano moved to California in 1985 to study acting at Berkeleys Theatre Studio London. He also worked as a bartender. His major break came two years later in the film Wiseguy when he portrayed a mobster impersonating Lorenzo Steelgrave. He received an Oscar nomination for his performance as diner owner Stanley in the 1989 Pepsi Diner commercial that aired on UK television.

He had a number of small appearances before playing Jeffrey Lassick in Civil Wars from 1991 to 1993, including Officer #1 in Lethal Weapon 2. He was chosen to play Detective Ray Vecchio in Due South in 1994. He was replaced by Detective Stanley Kowalski after his character had to be fired due to shooting obligations (Callum Keith Rennie).

He made an appearance in the 1999 season finale when Kowalskis ex-wife reignited her romance with Vecchio. He played a dying man in need of a heart transplant on Touched by an Angel in the 1996 episode Into the Light. He portrayed Giorgio Clericuzio in the 1997 miniseries adaption of Mario Puzos The Last Don.
