Scotty McCreery is a country music singer who grew up in Garner. He and his wife, Gabi, just had a baby boy. In a news release on Tuesday, the winner of American Idol said, Next to his mother, he is the most beautiful thing Ive ever seen. McCreery and his wife told everyone in June that they were going to have a baby.
Merrick Avery McCreery was born in Raleigh on Monday at 4:34 a.m. He is 21 inches long and weighs 7 pounds and 13 ounces. A news release says that he will be called Avery and will be named after Gabi McCreerys father, Merrick Tre Dugal III.

Scotty McCreery said that he is excited that their son will carry on the McCreery name. He said that the singer used to be the last boy in the McCreery family.
McCreery said that Gabi was a rock star when their baby was born and that shes already a champ at being a mom. As his dad, it makes me happy to see Gabi already doing a great job as his mom, he said.

McCreery and his wife got married at the Twickenham House & Hall in Jefferson, Tennessee, in 2018. Now, they live in Raleigh. Gabi used to work as a nurse. The singer-songwriter is taking time off from touring to be a dad until his show in Las Vegas on November 30.
His new song It Matters to Her, which came out in 2021, has recently made it into the Top 50 on both the Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase charts.
