Super Mario Bros Movie Release Date: The movie about Super Mario Bros. has been set for 2022 for a long time now. When Nintendo did a show called “Direct” in September 2021, it said that North America would get the game on December 21, 2022. That’s not all: The company has officially put the film on hold and set a new North American release date for April 7, 2023.

Shigeru Miyamoto, a Nintendo creator, producer, and game director, issued a comment on the company’s official Twitter account. It was decided to move the global release date to spring 2023 after consulting with “Chris-san,” who is most likely Illumination CEO Chris Meledandri (who also joined Nintendo’s Board of Directors in 2021), according to Miyamoto: April 28, 2023 for Japan and, as previously stated, April 7, 2023 for North America. After that, Miyamoto apologised and stated that it will be “worth the wait,” alluding to one of his most famous remarks about delays being beneficial to the product.
This is Miyamoto. After consulting with Chris-san, my partner at Illumination on the Super Mario Bros. film, we decided to move the global release to Spring 2023–April 28 in Japan and April 7 in North America. My deepest apologies but I promise it will be well worth the wait.

During the construction of the Mario-themed theme park for Universal Studios, Meledandri and Miyamoto became acquainted. They considered developing an animated Mario film after discovering that they shared comparable creative processes. They revealed their plans to make an animated Mario feature in 2018. As a result of the inclusion of a number of high-profile actors and actresses in the cast, the picture generated headlines when it was announced in 2021. These include Chris Pratt, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Day, Keegan-Michael Key, Seth Rogen, and others.
